How a Vision Became Reality on Duval Street
On July 28, 2025, Monarch Fine Art officially opened its doors at 910 Duval Street in the heart of Key West, Florida. We didn't launch with a whisper. We made a statement. Our grand opening celebration during Fantasy Fest weekend featured visionary contemporary artists Scotty Ziegler and Michael Ornstein, setting the tone for everything Monarch represents: contemporary work with edge, sophistication without pretension, and a gallery experience designed for discovery rather than just transaction.
But the story of Monarch begins long before that opening day. It begins with a belief that Key West deserves a contemporary gallery as bold and unapologetic as the island itself.

When we decided to establish Monarch Fine Art, the location wasn't up for debate. It had to be Key West. And within Key West, it had to be Duval Street. This is where the energy lives. Our Fantasy Fest grand opening weekend was everything we hoped for and more. Scotty Ziegler and Michael Ornstein. Hundreds of visitors discovering the gallery for the first time. A celebration of contemporary art in the middle of Key West's most chaotic, colorful, creative week of the year.
It was the perfect introduction to what Monarch represents.
Since then, we've continued building a roster of established and emerging artists whose work reflects our mission. Original paintings, sculpture, limited-edition prints, designer collectibles, and exclusive collaborations. Each piece chosen for its ability to spark dialogue, connect with collectors, and stand the test of time.
But we're just getting started. The artists we represent are creating work that will define contemporary art for the next generation. Being part of that evolution, right here in Key West, feels like exactly where we're meant to be.
