Alex Fishgoyt

Alex Fishgoyt was born in Crimea, raised in Moscow, and trained at two institutions that rarely appear on the same résumé: Parsons School of Design in New York and the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography in Moscow. That combination shows. His paintings move like film stills, richly staged, layered with symbolism, and composed with a director's sense of what to reveal and what to hold back.

His work sits at the intersection of surrealism and memory, myth pulled apart and reassembled into something that feels both ancient and immediate. A member of the Society for Art of Imagination and exhibited internationally, Fishgoyt has built a following among collectors drawn to work that rewards a second and third look.
