Fabian Pérez

Fabian Pérez was born in Buenos Aires in 1967 and grew up immersed in nightlife, tango halls, dim bars, the kind of rooms that would later define his canvases. That world, along with the early loss of both parents, shaped a style he calls neo-emotionalism: figurative painting charged with drama, intimacy, and romance.

After stops in Italy and Japan, Pérez settled in Los Angeles, where his work has reached a scale few painters achieve in their lifetime. He served as the official artist for the Latin Grammy Awards and the 2010 Winter Olympics, and his portrait subjects include Pope Francis and Lionel Messi. His paintings don't just depict a moment, they hold the emotional weight of one.
