Flowers (Large)
A field of smiling flowers, hundreds of them, every one a different color and every one looking straight at you. Takashi Murakami’s flowers are the most recognizable image in contemporary Japanese art, and this is the format that made them famous: a silkscreen dense enough that your eye can’t settle, printed to a saturation no reproduction gets right. It is joy as a wall of sound. Up close, it’s a crowd. Across the room, it’s one enormous grin.
Hand-signed by the artist and from an edition of 300, with the publisher’s blind stamp. Shown framed in white with a wide mat.
