Honey Bunny
by Thalo Halo
Jessica Rabbit in a dress Thalo painted with actual glitter so it catches light the way the cartoon never could. Her name runs up the left side. Her best line sits on the right, the one about not being bad, just drawn that way. Roger is there too, in pencil outline in the corner, the way he is in every scene she's in: present, overlooked, and the only one she wanted.
Teal sunburst, a cartoon explosion, a pink banner across the bottom. It's a square of 1988 for the person who still knows every line, and it belongs in a den, a bar, or any room that belongs to someone who has never once been overlooked.
