The Riverbed Split-Second
The Riverbed Split-Second
"The Split Personality" explores the duality of perception—both the viewer’s and the subject’s. Crocodiles are famously the ultimate patient predators, lying motionless for hours at the river's edge, often appearing as nothing more than a log or a shadow. This piece captures that moment of absolute stillness (the monochromatic side) just as it is about to be shattered by a split-second, explosive burst of energy. The right side doesn't just feature color; it embodies a raw, kinetic rainbow. The high-gloss, dripping finish suggests it just emerged from water—but in this artist’s universe, the water isn’t murky green, it’s a swirling vat of pure, high-octane color. It is a portrait of serenity masking a fabulous (and dangerous) storm.
